چکیده
تقع مدينة أبثا في المنطقة الوسطى من الأندلس. وهو أحد أعمال كورا جيان وعلى الوادي الكبير شرق قرطبة. فتحها المسلمون سنة 92هـ/710م، واستوطنتها قبيلة بني يعمر العربية الشامية. واستمر الحكم الإسلامي أكثر خمسة قرون. شهدت المدينة أحداثاً مهمة منها ثورة ابن حفصون، وكانت مسرحاً لأحداثها حوالي ثلاثين عاماً، ومنذ القرن السادس/12م أصبحت حدوداً غنية وتعرضت للعديد الهجمات قبل ومهد المسيحيون الطريق للقبض على العديد الثورات مثل مردانيش وابن همشك وأخيرا حركة بياسي الموحدي التي ضمت إلى سلطته مما أضعف قوة المسلمين وسهل سقوطها بعد أن أبادوها. الناس.
